Kristie Briggs, PhD, is an associate professor of economics and the program director for the Doctorate in Business Administration program at Creighton University. She received her PhD in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with fields of specialization in international trade, economic development, and the economics of innovation and intellectual property rights. Over her career, Briggs has published in journals such as Southern Economic Journal, Research Policy, and Applied Economics, and she has given numerous presentations, including being an invited speaker at the U.S. Department of the State.
