Creighton University’s Business Analytics Graduate Certificate program is designed with your schedule in mind. Classes are held in the evenings on-campus at Creighton University’s Heider College of Business. In addition, you can customize the curriculum to fit your career goals with two elective courses. A full listing of courses can be found in the curriculum section below.

Courses included in the curriculum for this graduate certificate can also be applied toward a Master of Science in Business Intelligence in Analytics. After completing this certificate program, students can complete additional coursework to complete their master’s degree.

 

Curriculum

To earn the Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics at Creighton University, you must complete 15 credits:

  • Core Courses
    • BIA 762 – Survey of Business Intelligence and Analytics
    • BIA 772 – Data Visual Analysis and Visualization
    • BIA 782 – Database Management Systems
  • Elective Courses – Choose two from the following based on your area of interest:
    • BIA 741 – Introduction to Business and Data Analytics
    • BIA 742 – Predictive Analysis
    • BIA 746 – Applications of Optimization Modeling
    • BIA 780 – Applications of Artificial Intelligence
    • BIA 792 – Database Warehousing and Advanced Database Systems

Admissions Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree, regardless of field of study
    1. Applicants must show demonstrated proficiency in computer programming, either through a class or work experience.
    2. Applicants must have completed one undergraduate statistics course that included correlation and regression. Students without such a class may instead complete a non-credit statistics tutorial offered by the college for an additional fee.
  2. Completed application (requires non-refundable $50 fee)
  3. Two letters of recommendation from persons other than family members who can speak to your performance in an academic or work setting
  4. Personal statement of about 500 words focusing on how this certificate program fits within your career plans and which aspects of this program are most appealing.
  5. One official transcript from each institution of collegiate rank attended by the applicant. Transcripts can be sent directly to Enrollment Services, 2500 California Plaza, Omaha, NE 68178.
  6. International Students Only:
    1. Applicants from countries in which English is not the primary language must demonstrate proficiency in English language by submitting a minimum TOEFL score of 90 iBT (557 PBT) or a minimum IELTS overall band score of 6.5 (no sub score lower than 6). Not required for students who have earned a bachelor’s or higher degree from an accredited institution in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or Africa (English-speaking only).
    2. International applicants must provide a “Certification of Available Finances” form in order for the I-20 form to be issued by the Office of International Programs if an applicant is admitted to the program.
